Day 46

Happy Halloween! I ushered in the holiday in style, waking up at 2:30am and staying awake until 7:30am. And I'm doing my best to stay up all day today too! Maybe even tonight as well, who knows? Who needs sleep? Not mommy and daddy!

Day 45

Today mommy went back to work. It was just for a little while and I went to grandma's house. When we came home I did some tummy time on my Boppy and then I started fussing. And kept fussing and fussing and fussing and wouldn't take a nap. It's 6:00 at night and I'm STILL fussing. I think mom and dad are getting frustrated.

Day 44

Today is a sad day. My mommy has to go back to work tomorrow. She said it's going to be a short day and that she probably won't work on Friday, but still I will miss her. Today we went to her office to pick up papers and then went to my favorite store, Target. This afternoon I spent a lot of time playing in my activity gym. I really like the zebra! Oh, and last night I slept for 5 hours in a row! Mom and dad were really happy!

Day 43

I'm 6 weeks old today! Mom and I went to her doctor today for a check up - I slept through all of it! Now I'm home and hanging out with my daddy.

Day 42

Today the nice people that daddy works with had a baby shower for me. I got lots of nice things! It took a lot out of me though and I came home and fell asleep!

Day 41

Today was a busy day. I went to the group home with mommy in the morning and then we went to a Halloween party in the afternoon where I met lots of other little babies. It was lots of fun! Here I am with mommy in my costume!

Day 40

Today was spent mostly watching football with Daddy. I didn't want to pose for this picture because I was watching Texas beat Oklahoma State!

Day 39

I met my very first baseball player today! I'm sure that lots and lots of girls are very jealous of me!

Day 38

I slept pretty good last night too. I think my blankie really helps me. Mom and I went to Target this morning and now we are just hanging out at home. I really like my new activity gym, but I have to fight the kitties to get a turn to use it!

Day 37

Another good night for me - I slept for 4 hours twice, and mommy really appreciated that. I've spent much of today being awake too. This morning we took Fluff to the vet for her follow up appointment and I got to meet all the nice doctors that saved her life earlier this year. Fluff is all healthy now and weighs almost as much as me!

Day 36

I slept really well with my new Miracle Blanket last night and that made mommy and daddy very happy! Today I ran errands with mommy and dirtied more diapers than necessary - it's my special talent! Good thing we have a good washing machine!

Day 35

I was a really good girl last night. I slept for 4 hours straight, and every time I did wake up I went right back to sleep after eating. I can't promise I'll be so good tonight, though! We went to mommy's work to pick up some papers and let her coworkers ooh and ahh over me, and then to see mommy's friend Lillian and her little girl Amelia to get some diapers. Now I have some cool new diapers and diaper covers! Now we're home and I'm chillin' with my Boppy watching Star Wars with daddy.

Day 34

Today started off with me getting my picture taken. Lots of pictures. Auntie Denise's mom is a professional photographer and came to take pictures of me (and mom and dad). I made things fun for them by pooping in mom's hands while she was holding my tush, and peeing in dad's hands when he was doing the same thing. After that we went to grandma Helen's to watch football and meet uncle Pete's family.

Day 33

I did a whole lot better at staying awake today. I went to work with mommy this afternoon at the group home. It was pretty boring because all of the girls were out. But I stayed awake just about the whole time and let mommy entertain me.

Day 32

Today I slept a whole lot. I almost missed out on the whole day! Mom and I went to the bank this morning, and this afternoon we went to Lovely Confections so mom could get some pumpkin cupcakes, and then to a happy hour with our local senator, Mark Udall, and congressman Ed Perlmutter. Then we picked up daddy and came home and now they're watching a movie and I'm trying to stay awake for a while!

Day 31 - One Month!

I'm one month old today! We had a quiet day, but I have been up for most of it, except for the part when we took Vinny to the vet. He's been having some problems using the litter box lately. Maybe I need to let him borrow my diapers? Time really flies - just not at night when I won't sleep for mom and dad!

Day 30

I was a little cranky again last night - I can't help that I like sleeping during the day more than during the night! We had lunch with daddy and his coworkers at BD's and then we went to visit mom's friend Hollie who just moved here from Utah. It's always fun to meet new people! Then I hung out with big boy Vinny.

Day 29

I'm 4 weeks old today! It's been a quiet day, mom and I went grocery shopping and took a nap together. That's about it. I didn't sleep quite so long last night and today I've been hungry about every 2 hours instead of every 3 hours - am I growing again? Mom's friend Vanessa sent me my very first Tinkerbell and she is my favorite!

Day 28

I slept for 4 hours straight last night! Mommy and Daddy were SO happy about that! But my left eye started getting all gunky last night so I went to see Mr Doody at the doctor's office today and he said it was a clogged tear duct. So we are cleaning my eye with saline when it gets icky. Then we went to Target where I got cranky halfway through our shopping so we didn't get any groceries. But I did get a nice swaddling blanket and a radio/CD player with Spongebob on it for my bedroom! I can listen to my Metallica lullabies on that, I can't wait!

Day 27

Another football Sunday! I only slept 2 hours between feedings last night so mom is a bit groggy today. We went to grandma Helen's to watch football with the family. I entertained them by staying awake for a while, which was much more exciting than what the Raiders did. Now I'm watching the Broncos and Jaguars with dad. Mommy likes Jack Del Rio so maybe I'll root for the Jaguars for her while she takes a nap!

Day 26

Go Wild! I'm watching my first Wild hockey game tonight and I think I must be good luck because they are winning 4-1. I really like their red jerseys. Today was busy. We met cousin Ethan who was born on Wednesday. He is really tiny - literally half my size! Then we went to look for an Allen Iverson jersey for me but they don't make them in itty bitty baby sizes. Boo! So we went to get cupcakes from Porche and she was really busy. Then we had lunch at Breckenridge Brewery and were in the middle of a lot of football fans. Now we're home and watching hockey. Hopefully this will all make me very tired tonight!

Day 25

Well, I was a pain in the you-know-what last night. I ate at about 9:30 last night and then I decided I was going to be a night-owl. I stayed up until 3:30 am! Mom and dad tried everything - swaddling, not swaddling, shhing, swaying, changing, feeding, rocking, the car seat, the car seat on the dryer with shoes in it, and even a ride in the car at 2:15am! Not many people out then - but I screamed half the way anyway to try to wake everyone up. But I fell asleep for about 10 minutes. Finally I decided I'd had enough fun and fell asleep at 3:30. Dad got 2 1/2 hours of sleep, what is he complaining about? Anyway, now I'm in my swing peaceful as can be. Being a baby is fun!

Day 24

Well, I'm starting to get on something sort of like a schedule. I eat every 3 hours and that includes during the night - so mom and dad are getting a little more sleep. That makes everyone happy. Today has been a pretty quiet day. I've just hung out with mom while she did a lot of laundry and cleaning around the house. I spent about an hour in my swing. Some days I love it, some days I hate it! Today was a good day!

Day 23

Today was a very busy day! I slept a little bit better so I woke up rested (so did mom and dad!) Mom and I went to the lactation consultant and I am sure you will be happy to know I am starting to do better breast feeding. After that we went to Alameda East so mom could pick up some medicine for Fluff. While we were there we met Dr. McAbee, the surgeon who removed Fluff's kidney stone, and Jean, the assistant to Dr. Santen, the doctor who is responsible for saving Fluff's life (if they didn't, I wouldn't have a fur-sister!) Then we went to the place mom used to work til March and saw all her old coworkers so they could get their fill of me. After that we were going to go home, but mom stopped by daddy's work so that all of his coworkers could meet me too. It's hard work being this cute and popular! But after a long day of being social, I decided that enough is enough - no pictures, no more being social for the day!

Day 22

I'm 3 weeks old today! And for the first time, my fur-brother Ellis took interest in me. He hung out with me today and kept an eye on me and purred real loud to keep me content. After this, I went with mom to both of her jobs so everyone could meet me. Of course I was perfect the whole time!

Day 21

Today was pretty uneventful - I slept a lot and mom watched a lot of TV that she had to get caught up on! This is me during New Kids on the Block performing a concert - pretty exciting stuff!

Day 20

I'm still not sleeping well at night and mom and dad are tired! Today we went to Grandma Helen's house and saw a lot of daddy's family and watched a little football. We came home and I stayed up and stayed fussy for a long time and kept daddy busy while mom took a nap. Good thing daddy loves me a lot!

Day 19

Today was a busy day. Grandpa and uncle Craig came over this morning to say goodbye and had to leave to fly home to Minnesota. I'm going to miss them! Then, this afternoon, I went with mommy over to her friend Angie's house for an uppercase living party and got to meet Eli who is almost 10 months old. Then we went to see mom's friend Cyndi and I met Niko who is 20 months old. All these older men! Now I'm hanging out on the sofa watching football with dad. I won't tell him that I'm rooting for Texas! Hook 'em!

Day 18

This morning, uncle Craig took us to Bass Pro Shop. There were lots of big animals there and lots of fish. When I'm bigger I think I'll like to go back and see the fish again. This catfish was bigger than me!

Day 17

I've been a busy little girl! Today I went with mommy and daddy and grandpa and uncle Craig to Breckenridge for the day. Mom was really happy about this as it meant more beer for her! Mom's really tired after the long day today. I have to decide if I want to keep her up tonight or let her sleep!

Day 16

Well, I didn't sleep too much last night and mommy and daddy were pretty worn out today. I had my 2 week appointment with my pediatrician, and then we met with the lactation consultant. I've breast fed twice today which is good for me. Mom wants me to do it all the time. I'm working on it! We went to dinner at Gordon Biersch which is uncle Craig's favorite, and mom had her first good beer in 9 months!
